I was invited to the Gala Dinner of ChinaToy Expo as a guest by a Germany Company tonight. Its a world class expo as claimed by the organizer... and toys market, we all know is one of the largest export business in China....
Well, its an Expo, and so, there must have a lots of foreigners of course lots from Germany, they have a Germany Island there...
My very old friend he invested in this children educational related toys business early this year, and you can only buy his line of products in Xintiande... and its a really up market items.
He asked for advices and solution from me, and I recommended him to use Telemarketing to do the develop a direct selling team and continuity model of business.... He buys the idea and now is looking for telemarketing partners who are interested to sell educational and high ticket items for domestic China market...
Well... an opportunity!
During the dinner, I am quite disappointed with the entire dinner event arrangement and food... but the worst things is that I heard a message from a local senior management staff from a local company in Chengzhou, and its worry me a lots .....
What did he say? The entire does not have any english or other language speaking MC or any translation supporting services... So, all foreigners becomes being isolated by the host.... coz... they could not understand what did the MC say at all....
And that friend said.... let the foreigner be .... we do not need any English translators....to trnslate our message and program to them, we, China, are big now.... If they don't understand, just let it be...
Wowwow... it scares me.... if we Chinese business man are all like him, I can say that we and the entire economy would die very soon... cause we just did not care about our customer... and the reasons is because we are Big now....
I still remember those hard old but sweet days.....we learnt very hard foreign language cause we know we need to udnerstand our customers and serve our customers better and we will never think that we are big and no need to understand others people's mind and expectation...
We need to be careful, have to be service and customer oriented.... don't try and chance to hurt the customer relationship line ...
