New Zealand centre IT company Agile has set up operations in Sydney.

Agile is reportedly targeting IP telephony, contact centre and unified communications business in Australia. Former Avaya regional chief operating officer Peter Dillon has been appointed to lead the new Australian division.

"The company already has a strong track record with leading Australian companies as we have already implemented trans-Tasman contracts for organisations such as Fisher & Paykel and Baycorp," Dillon was quoted as saying. Agile recently sold its call centre software business to global provider Avaya. It continues to develop the Contact Centre Express (CCE) software for Avaya.
