The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted approval for Czech-backed outsourcer Quaestus Lanka to set up a contact center.
The center will provide telemarketing facilities for the glogster.com educational social networking solution and is expected to initially employ 40 agents. Quaestus Lanka will be engaged in marketing education licences for the glogster solution to schools around the world.
Glogster was conceived to "imaginatively, productively, and collaboratively respond to the dynamic educational landscape and exceed the needs of today's educators and learners". The BPO's Czech investors also operate Lanka-Cat, a web designing and software development venture. Chairman, Tomas Plojhar and Director, Brian Kurera signed the agreement on behalf of the company. Investors Stanislav Sramek and Vladimir Ondrousek were also present at the occasion.
